Problem

Amazon wanted to leverage AI internally to increase productivity and leverage AI for internal Amazon organizations and teams. Using Anthropics Claude as a foundation, Amazon create at custom RAG and features to support Amazonians while still maintaining a secure environment for Amazon's sensitive information.

Cedric Persona's

An "AI persona" refers to the designed personality, communication style, and behavioral characteristics that an AI system presents to users during interactions. It's essentially the "character" or "voice" that the AI adopts when communicating and may have specific knowledge to draw on to form its answer.. These can be powerful tools when paired with specific data and knowledge for specific tasks. I was the lead designer to create a more powerful creation tool that would enable users to create persona's with specific needs, test the persona, and assign permissions so that only members could access the persona and its knowledge base.

Internet toggle and sources

To expand Cedrics capabilities and add better information for Cedrics "RAG" the ability to use the internet to source information was added. The featured required new attribution of sources for Cedric's responses as well as the ability to toggle between Cedric's default knowledge, Internet sources, or datasets that had been uploaded to Cedric. As a result the input field for cedric was completely redesigned to support and streamline these new features.
